Hi Matthew,
You can select a new image to use as your avatar within your "Photos & Videos" gallery. When viewing the full view of one of your images, just click the "Make this my avatar" button above the image. Note: Avatars are public images used throughout the site, so "Friend only" images cannot be used as avatars.
