Just wondering if anyone has had the experience of playing on a team where a parent or family member is the coach? I know when I was younger; this was a pretty common situation. I remember my teammate Tara getting so frustrated with her mom (our coach) during practices--not so much during games. She would often vent to us during school hours about how she wished her mom was a fan rather than coach. But I remember being jealous of Tara. Her mom knew so much about softball--especially batting. I wanted my mom to show the same enthusiasm.Have any of you had experiences like this? How do you balance the relationship of being both a player and relative of the coach? Or, do you wish your parents were more involved with your sports? Do you have any good ideas for getting your parents more involved or for helping them be better coaches and parents?Candice
