A basic soccer passing drill for early learners and a good warm-up soccer drill for more intermediate players, teams line up a few yards from a line of soccer balls, one line is told they attack if an odd number is called the other is listening for an even number.
- Teams line up a few yards from a line of footballs
- One line is told they attack if an odd number is called the other is listening for an even number
- The coach calls out a number at random
- The corresponding team must try to strike the other team below waist height
- The other team must try to make it to safety over their line
- Any player who is hit is out, the winner is the last player in
- Watch carefully that players are passing the ball low, do not allow balls to be fired dangerously
- You may want to begin by using colors instead of numbers for younger children
