Pop-Over Shoulder Sit - Front Dismount
The pop-over should sit is a great cheerleading stunt for beginners.
How to:
Base: Begin in an athletic stance with knees forward. Grasp flyer's hips. On 1-2, down-up, lift with legs following through with arms, extending all the way to top. Resist flyer's weight down to shoulders, absorbing with legs. Once up, grasp top of flyer's thighs.
Flyer: Reach behind and grasp base's wrists. On 1/2, down-up, jump straight up, as high as possible. At the top of the lift, open legs into "V" position, pointing toes out. After base sets you onto their shoulders, wrap feet behind base's back, locking feet with ankles pulling in toward base.
Front Dismount:
Base: Tap both flyer's thighs to signal ready. Reach up with both hands, fingers forward and grasp flyer's hips. On 1-2 dip and extend to top. Resist flyer's weight all the way to the ground, absorbing with legs.
Flyer: Grasp base's wrists. Point toes out. After dip, when at the top of the "pop" bring legs together in front.
