I bowl on a summer league ever Wednesday. My current average is around the 120's and I'm trying to bring it up. I bowl with 8 other people and half of them are loud obnoxious guys so it is hard to concentrate. For the past 3 or 4 weeks, I've had trouble breaking 100 and I usually hit the 150's. I also have trouble picking up my 10 pins. I use a Scout Reactive and it hooks a lot. So I'm thinking of getting a Columbia White Dot that can help me pick up my spares.
Other than that, does anyone have any ideas that can help me concentrate and work on getting better games? I'm easily distracted and I get angry and impatient very easily. Anything would help right now. It's depressing to see my games get lower and lower every week. :[

Well Corin...You already know what you need to do. You just have to work really hard on your mental game. Getting control over that now will help you out tremendously throughout the rest of your bowling career.
Block out everything else that is going on. When you get up on the approach, take that extra second to breathe. After you exhale, begin your approach. It has worked very well for me. It gives your mind that extra second to get back in focus.

I hope this helps!

you definately you block out everyone and take the extra time to line up before your shot. and to make more ten pins a plastic b all could work or you can try not rotating your hand and throwing it directly at the pin. making your spares is the difference of about 11 pins each time so it will increase your scores alot
