The short flag football season is over and they took it all the way! The boys ended the regular season 8-0, won their playoff game and took the championship 27-0. They had so much fun and did a great job, Andrew reallyhad a breakout year. Now it's time for a break from sports until basketball in mid-October. I love to watch them play, but it will be nice to get some rest. It's time to get the boys acclimated to school. Andrew started kindergarten and Rylee started 3rd. grade. I'm also starting my final season before getting my master's so the fun never ends!
  2. Football

Just as baseball ended, it's now time for football. Rylee is bored because football isn't his thing, but Andrew is having a breakout season! The boys are 2-0 and my boy scored three touchdowns and pulled four flags yesterday. Today he did just as well, scoring three of the extra points and pulling four flags. It's a short season, only three weeks since schoolstarts so early and snow starts in September, but if they keep it up they will be the champions! After this we will have a much needed break before basketball starts in October. Basketball is a little closer to home, so that will giove me time finish my last two classes for my masters's.

The boys are really looking forward to school starting, they are finally both in school, so exciting things are happening for all of us!

The baseball season is over and the boys are bummed, but Andrew is geared up and ready for some football! Well, flag football. This season should be interesting with dad as head coach and mom as the manager. I've never been busier between work, school and their sports, I'm looking forward to winter and lot's of sleep!

  4. Scary!

Baseball is into it's second week here and we've already had a scary experience. Rylee had practice this morning and got drilled in the head by a baseball as he was running to first. Thank god he was wearing a helmet and wasn't hurt, although visibly shaken. I tried not to play the overly protective mom, but that was hard! I hate seeing my babies hurting.

Both boys are doing great so far this season and we are keeping up with six days a week practice so far!

This week kicks off our busy baseball season. Rylee started yesterday and Andrew starts next week, so five to six days a week we will be at the field. They were happy with their team, Rylee is on the Phillies again and Andrew is on the Orioles and they both are going to be number two for their favorite shortstop. They are so excited and we are ready to watch them learn. This weekend is our last chance for a vacation, so we are going to Valdez to see some glaciers and whales! The joy of Alaska, drive a few hours and it's cold again!

Other than that me and my boys are ready to enjoy summer. The sun is virtually always up, so we have tons to do before the snow come back...

Where we live is so cold, so my boys are itching for outdoor sports. Basketball has been over for months and indoor flag football ended last month. They are going stir crazy waiting for baseball season to start and shortly after football for Andrew. Andrew is particularly excited because this is his first year of t-ball. Rylee is finally old enough for machine pitch, so it will be a learning experience. There is nothing more exciting for me to watch my boys doing what they love. I'll post pictures soon for all to see my little men in action!
