Our daughter works with professional coaches and has been told to always get 8 hours prior to play but to limit naps to waking up at least 2 hours prior to play (if napping between games) It does keep your mind focused and your stress level minimal.

It is the difference from the length and the weight. If the bat is 30 inches long and weighs 20 ounces, it is called a "Minus 10" bat. 32 inches long and 21 ounce weight, a "Minus 11" etc.
