i want to take my pop warner 7-8 on a football retreat what do u think ?
Sounds like a lot of fun but make sure you clear everything with Pop Warner at the conference and National level or you could run afoul of the rules unknowingly. Sometimes these things are not covered by insurance automatically and also could be calle... Continue reading »

How to correct a pitcher who occasionally short-arms his throws?
Carl, I just posted this as an answer to another question, hope you find it useful.
This drill can be done indoors or out...
Take a small towel, (dish towel for instance) and tie a knot in one end. Get yourself in proper throwing position (athleti... Continue reading » -
Throwing Techneque practice tips?
I try to coach throwing in differrent ways but here is one drill we use to simulate the throwing technique without actual wearing your arm out doing a ton of throwing. (I do like the above suggestions as well).

My son is afraid to stay in the box after getting hit, how do we work past this?
It might help, as Joel mentions above, to pitch from a closer distance. I would start with wiffle balls pitched underhand from the side. If one of these hits him, it certainly will do no damage and will help him to stop thinking about getting hit. A... Continue reading »

I agree with just about everything above. Please explain to your child that all 9 positions on the baseball diamond are important, not just the infield positions. As a 9U travel/tournament ball manager, I run into this "I want to play the infield" bu... Continue reading »
