    Anthony Klinock asked:

what is the best offense against a 1-3-1 defense

    Ariel’s answer:

any offense that overloads and has back door cutting.

I use a 3/2 set against it with tons of back door cutting and short jumpers from just above the blocks.

    1. Sounds like a nice offense. I may borrow it! Chris Kelley - Framingham.

    2. pretty simple Chris. Make sure that the cutters dont just half speed cut it has to be hard and quick. no one stays still for more than 2 seconds, everyone keeps moving. Big looks to roll off of every pick. it looks different each and every rotation and if it gets messed up its easy to re set on the fly. change it up by calling our a number "4" during the motion and the 4th pass becomes a drive to the basket for layup of jumper. Defense gets out of position very easily with the cutters. good luck
