    Coach Mike’s answer:

    Erlinda Martinez asked:

Is it better to make the team stretch prior to their warm-up throws to reduce any pulled muscles??

    Coach Mike’s answer:

Rule: Never stretch "cold" Muscles. Static stretching has been shown, I agree, to do little or no good, and sometimes harm. Dynamic stretching that involves active warmups is the way to go. Stretching cold is not only old school, it's what I regard... Continue reading »

    Candice Coots asked:

Seattle Seahawks fans, how do you feel about Pete Carroll as head coach?

    Coach Mike’s answer:

Carroll was wise to exit stage left, in light of continued NCAA investigations and likely sanctions were he to stay. Best move for Carroll, USC, the NCAA, the Seahawks, and for dang sure Lane Kippin, who has to be one of the luckiest coaches in colleg... Continue reading »
