Coach Mike Ketchel We just got back from Fresno City College, where Coach Ed Madec demonstrated his teaching of the Dribble-Drive offense with his men's team at his annual clinic for HS and college coaches. Three of our best guards, Adidas Jr Phenoms John Ketchel and Adam Saleh, and future Phenom Scotty Hardesty, came along to learn the Dribble-Drive from a coaching perspective, and learn it from one of the best college coaches in the game today - Ed Madec.

Coach Mike Ketchel Wow - a long hiatus from WePlay! What a crazy year! We've curtailed our team practices since our boys just started CYO play and will soon start school team play. The Titans will regroup in the winter-spring after both wrap, and may come together for exhibition scrimmages at some college games.

Coach Mike Ketchel Tough loss to arch rival Berkeley Magic today 28-30. Not our usual point production, as our key players had an off day. It happens. The game could have gone either way - it just didn't go our way today. But, all played with all they had to give. As a coach, I can't ask for more.

Coach Mike Ketchel Titans and the NBA connection: Both Niles and Nnamdi have cousins playing in the NBA. That is amazing! How do you get there? First, you have to have a super-human work ethic and dedication. Ability, character, attitude all come into play... but it won't happen without dedication, discipline and hard work. Remember, "Nobody ever got cut from practicing too much!"

Coach Mike Ketchel The Titans last night officially launched the 2011 season with an impressive halftime intra-squad scrimmage at the Saint Mary's College vs. UCSD game @ SMC. Adam Saleh, Niles Malone, John Ketchel, Nick Hardwick, Garrett Pugh, James Ned, Nnamdi Vixon, Onye Inehacho, Raishyan Alexander, Jonathan Ned all performed well. Leading scorers were Niles Malone & Adam Saleh, for their Orange and Black teams respectively, while John Ketchel dished out 6 assists in 5 minutes for the winning "Black" squad.
