    About Steven
    Hometown – Charleston, South Carolina
    About me – He has been a certified bowler with ABC and now USBC since 1987. (22 years) He has been the Secretary-Treasurer of the Tuesday Night Ashley Men's Bowling League, a men's league at Ashley Lanes Bowling Center, since 1988. (21 years) He joined the Board of Directors of the Greater Charleston Bowling Association as an Associate Director in 1990. He was promoted to the position of Director in 1991 and served as a Director for (4) years. He was elected as 4th Vice-President in 1995, served in the 2nd and 1st Vice-President positions, elected President in 1998 and served two (1) year terms (1998-1999, 1999-2000) as President, and he was elected as a Past-President/Life Member in 2000. He was elected as a Director at Large in 2002, and served in that position for (4) years, until 2006. He has served on all committees, Tournament being the longest running, all (18) years. He was elected as the GCBA Director of the Year in 1994. He has represented the GCBA as a Delegate to the National Convention on (5) occasions: 1995 in Reno, 1997 in Huntsville, 1998 in Reno, 2000 in Albuquerque, and 2001 in Reno. When the GCBA dissolved and became the Greater Charleston USBC Bowling Association in 2006, he was elected as a Director to the new Board of Directors of the GCUSBCBA. He has served as a board member in the Charleston Association for the past 19 years. He was elected into the Greater Charleston USBC Bowling Association Hall of Fame in September of 2007. When the three local Charleston Associations merged into the Greater Charleston USBC Association in June of 2008, he was elected as the 1st Vice President of the GC USBC Association. He joined the Board of Directors of the Greater Charleston Junior Bowling Association in 1996 as one of the (5) representatives of the GCBA and served on that board for (12) years. He served on all committees, Legislative being the longest,(all 12 years). He put together the GCJBA Operating Procedures Manual, as well as starting programs such as: The Youth Leader of the Year, The Youth City All Star Team, and the GCJBA Hall of Fame. He served as the chairperson of the HOF Committee and as the induction speaker at the HOF Banquet each year. He was elected as the GCJBA President in 2006. When the GCJBA dissolved and became the Greater Charleston USBC Youth Association in 2006, he was elected as the President of the GCUSBCYA. He was elected into the Greater Charleston USBC Youth Association Hall of Fame in December of 2007. He has been a bowling coach with the Ashley Lanes Bowling Center Youth Program since 1996, a period of 13 years. He received his USA Level 1 Training Certification in 1999 and his USA Level 2 Training Certification in 2004. He has coached the Ashley Lanes youth at every City, State, and Pepsi Tournament since 1996. He has done 50/50 raffles in the adult leagues at Ashley Lanes to raise money for the youth program, and over the last thirteen years he has raised over thirty thousand dollars for the Ashley Lanes Youth Bowling Program. He joined the Board of Directors of the South Carolina State Bowling Association in 2002 as the Director for Charleston. He was elected as the 3rd Vice-President in 2004 and the 2nd Vice-President in 2005. He served on numerous committees, Legislative and Jamboree being the longest, (4) years. He was elected as the SCSBA Director of the Year in 2004. When the SCSBA dissolved in 2006 and the three state associations merged and became the South Carolina USBC Association, he was elected as the 1st President of the SCUSBCA. Presently has served three years as President of the SCUSBCA. He has served as a delegate for the state to the national convention on tow occasions, 2008 in Kansas City, and 2009 in Reno. He was elected into the South Carolina USBC Association Hall of Fame in 2009. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Southeast Bowling Association in the position of Director in 1996, as one of the (5) Directors representing the State of South Carolina. He served on the SBA Board for 12 years as a Director, with (6) months as the South Carolina Vice President before going back to the Director position. In 2003, he served as the SBA Tournament Coordinator for the 2003 SBA Tournament held in Charleston that year. He was elected as the Southeast Bowling Association's Director of the Year in 2003. In 2008, he was elected as the South Carolina Vice President on the SBA Board. Currently still serves as Vice President.
