How she became such a dedicated cheerleading supporter:
Being supportive is in Coach Mullen's nature. She finds great joy in seeing others achieve their goals, knowing that she was a part of it.
How her team is doing this season:
Mountain View High School Cheer and Stunt team became a competitive group as of April 2009. The Cougars placed 5th in their division at the Pac West St. Patty's Day Competition in Portland, Oregon. MVHS plans on continuing their competitive game while remaining the very serious job of supporting their Cougars first. We plan on doing well at the Sate Nationals this year.
"Keys of success" she has used over the years and would recommend to other coaches
As a High School Coach, it is important to remember that you are not just coaching a sport. You are creating athletes, role modals and future leaders. They are not just walking talking action figures, but young adults that need our guidance. Treat your athletes with respect and they will respect you. Stand behind them and set them up for success. While striving for excellence is important, it is the journey you take them on and the life lessons you teach your athletes that will stay with them forever.
Dream job – I am doing it!
Superstition – NOT!
