Hometown – Carol Stream

About me – I was born on November 4th of 1994 to my parents Kristin and Brandon Azbell. I was born and raised in Melrose Park where I lived close to my mother's side of the family to help out with the new addition. After a few years, and another baby to the family (my brother Nick) we moved to Carol Stream, Illinois. In this small town I met some of my soon to be best friends that would last me through the following years to come. I met Liz and Kyle, the three musketeers as we would call ourselves. Through this relationship, Liz and I grew up with the boys playing video games, learning football, and of course our obsession with Star Wars. As a kid I participated in many other sports, some including soccer, baseball, volleyball, and gymnastics. But this switching in sports ended in third grade when my mom signed me up for the Carol Stream Panthers cheerleading. Since I just came out of gymnastics, I was their "flipper" as the coaches would call it. I cheered for them for 2 years when my mom suggested trying all star. With my wrist hurting from the hard floor of rec cheer, all star was on a spring floor and more advanced. This began my obsession and passion for cheerleading. I was first involved with Bartlett Thunder and double teamed for the first time ever. But after my one season, Thunder became no more and Cheer Alliance was made. It was no 7th grade, and I was put on the Cheer Alliance Jaguars which was a level 3 team. Cheer Alliance was a new organization, and no one thought we would be as good as we become. With our first year we won numerous titles across the country and even won Cheersport Atlanta. But this was just the beginning of Cheer Alliance. When I was going into my freshman year of high school, I decided to quit all star cheerleading and go and try high school. I made the Bartlett High School Hawks varsity cheerleading team. We practiced every day in the summer for hours trying to nail down our stunting and tumbling. By the time homecoming came around, I missed all star to much, and quit at the end of the homecoming game. As soon as I went back to Alliance, it was like I never left. Our team was named the Pumalove and I have never been closer to a team in my life. We had an amazing season which leads up to the team we are today. We are now the Pumas, the Senior Limited Coed Level 5 team, pushing ourselves to be the level 5 team we know we could be. But as we go into the summer practicing, I know we could pull it together to be the team we were ment to be.
