    Coach Waliczek asked:

how do I delete a group

    Coach Jeff’s answer:

I have same question as Coach Waliczek about deleting a group in Weplay. I followed your directions but when you click 'more actions' 'delete group' is not included in the actions that can be completed.

    Coach Jeff’s answer:

    Ken:
I don't know the qualifications of the team's coach. Unfortunately many HS bowling coaches know nothing about bowling and monitor the activity to provide extra income for themselves. However, what you've described above gives me the appearance t... Continue reading »

    1. Thanks! Always enjoy reading your advice.

Clarification question--we were not aware that the Freeze came with different weight blocks and the shop drilled using the factory recommended Option 4 for medium oil and length. She had been using the 12 lb team ball in semi-fingertip and was doing well with two weeks of coaching, so I think that may have been part of their rational for the 13 in a fingertip ball.

She is 5.10 and a very slim build. She is using a very simple swing with palm behind and current focus on lifting with the fingertips (her previous release was right at her ankle.) Her hook seems natural and generally rolls nicely, (with a short period of forcing the wrist and getting some sideways spin which I hope is over!)

She's now on JV and bowled about a 420 series yesterday in league. Coach is very excited about her and she's looking forward to Christmas break (coach/house oner is giving the kids free bowling for Christmas!)

      Thanks again

    2. Oops... I've been corrected--she bowled a 467.

    D. Shawn Webster asked:

In bowling, what is the most consistant way to convert the 10 pin?

    Coach Jeff’s answer:

There are a couple of things to consider:
    - You want to shoot across the lane which allows for a larger margin or error of missing your target and still converting the spare.
    - The term 'straighter is greater'

There is missing information, most import... Continue reading »

    Heather Spyres asked:

how do i throw on a sport pattern. i am going to be going to a las vegas bowling tournament and their pattern is sport.

    Coach Jeff’s answer:

Beg your local bowling center to put out sport compliant patterns (see USBC Sport Bowling web site for patterns).

Straighter is typically better, however on a sport pattern accuracy and consistency are critical. On some patterns, missing your mark by... Continue reading »

    Heather Spyres asked:

how do i become better at my follow through with my foot. after i throw i fall to the side and i want to learn how to follow with my foot

    Coach Jeff’s answer:

There are easy answers without seeing you bowl. It could be as simple as your feet are too fast so you're to the foul line and your arm swing is not 'in time'.
