    How to keep morale up w/ 7-9 years olds when we are losing every game so far? This is the 1st year for my kids, others teams are veterans.

    take em out ot ice cream after and tell them the great job they are doing. remind them that they are learning and a great thing to do is always smile and laugh as they come into the dugout with their heads down

    How do you teach 10U softball players to not be afraid of the ball and try and catch it outfield in the air?

    John’s answer:

    Use soft softballs at first. Teach the proper two handed catching technique. As they learn to use the softy balls intergrating the regulation softballs will be easy.
