Cowboy fans were at the edge of their seats Saturday as the undefeated Cowboys played their most challenging opponents yet. The game remained scoreless at halftime, dispite a huge 60 yard run by the Rattlers runningback early in the game being stopped near the Cowboys 5 yard line by linebacker Ben Munoz; the cowboys defense seemed to be on their heals for a second, but were able to shut the rattlers out for the next four plays securing the ball for the Cowboys offense. Quarterback Jamel Post commanded his offense down the field with the assistance of runningback Rodney Alexander, fullback Ben Munoz, and wide receivers Nate Nesbitt and Drew Luna, as well as a strong offensive line. After several short gains quarterback Jamel Post audibled a quarterback keeper to the right side for a huge 50 yard run being pushed out of bounds before he was able to score, ending the first half scoreless. During the third quarter the Cowboys defense continued to hold strong against the Rattlers offense, once again shutting down the run and the pass. The Rattlers defense shut down the Cowboys ability to run to the outside, so the cowboys began to jab the gutt of the Rattlers defense with several short runs up the middle with the fullback Ben Munoz and runningback Rodney Alexander, finally exploding down the middle with a 20 yard run by quarterback Jamel Post setting himself up for an additional quarterback sneak for the touchdown, followed by a quarterback sweep for the extra point. In the fourth quarter the Cowboys defense continued to hold strong as huge sack by defensive end Osha Solomon produced a fumble recovered by Solomon. This huge defensive play set up wide receiver Nate Nesbitt for an in and around for his first touchdown of the day, however quarterback Jamel Post was unable to connect with tightend Osha Solomon for the 2 point conversion. The defense then produced another turnover with an additional fumble producing sack and recovery by defensive end Osha Solomon. Coach Gilbert Quinteros then made the decision to run down the clock securing the cowboys a 13-0 victory over the Temple Rattlers.
