Opening game of the Babe-Ruth League season.
I have talked to the other coaches and will pick up the players off their team that may not get a lot of playing time on their current team. I enjoy teaching kids that are happy to be playing and not spoiled as far as playing time ...
I have a player who's father told me that if his son was moved into another position other than the one he plays in high-school, he would play summer-league ball and not play babe-ruth. I need to move him for the good of the team, but I cannot lose playe
Its disheartening when you dont know if your gonna have enough to play, but give 100% to all the players that do show up.The players and their parents will respect you for that. This is what makes good coaches. Good Luck!
Hey David, My advice is not to worry about the score. The thing you need to concentrate on is if your players are getting better and having fun.
Be patient and be positive with them.
First game of season in Babe-Ruth today. Any advice on coaching strategy? I have all my players coming, but after today, I will be lucky to have enough to take the field. I told them to do the best they can and have fun.
