    Desiree Marx asked:

I'm a new coach working with 13-15 year old girls. I'm having a really hard time with some girls with attitudes, what should I do?

    Alisha’s answer:

I am the owner of an all star gym- Welcome 'officially' to our lives! lol. No, Actually, you will be told by 'many' people how, and what it is you 'need' to do to improve your personality to deal with them. However, remember that we are all different... Continue reading »

    3. This is the perfect advice. Couldn't have said it better myself. Coaching cheerleading 25 years, and a gym owner 15 years, I have seen it all. Come up with consiquences and stick to it. A bad apple can spoil the whole bunch and laziness is the worst attitude. A good team work ethic is so important and it starts with the Coach.
When you have it together, they respond. If they trust you, they will do what's appropriate and necessary to be a success, but the leadership is important. Choose your team leaders wisely!

    Valante Naranjo asked:

I'm a JV cheerleader and I would like to hopefully get my splits down. Whats the best way to learn them quick?

    Alisha’s answer:

PROGRESSION! have your mom or dad, someone each night help push you down (not all the way) just a tad bit further than the night before. If you are sore at first, stay at the 'same' level before pushing yourself further. Don't resist the push and yo... Continue reading »

    Alisha’s answer:

Okay, I am a cheer coach and let me be honest. The first couple of times you won't land like you have been doing it at the Olympics..lol. The good thing with a front walk over is that they are pretty easy to teach and to do. Make sure you are working... Continue reading »

    Taylor Tammen asked:

I didnt make cheer tryouts... i need advice on how i should make it next year?? any thoughts?

    Alisha’s answer:

Hi, I am a cheerleading all star coach. Join an all star program (of course this can be very costly depending on where you choose to go) but is definitely worth it. Girls who tend to be with an all star team tend to be more advanced going in to schoo... Continue reading »
