Jackie of all Trades

As a softball coach, umpire, and player, Tracey Wolff considers herself blessed to work with people who love the game of softball as much as she does. This mother of three from Wauconda, Illinois said she takes great pleasure being able to "pay it forward" and give back to the game.
Wolff is currently the coach of the Lakes Youth Athletic Association's Purple Lightning 12U team. Most of the girls on her team are eleven-years-old, and many have never played softball at all, or at least not competitively.
With the Midwest weather, they haven't played too many games, but they are enjoying the season and learning a lot. Coach Wolff mentioned how she uses Weplay's Skills & Drills videos as practice or homework to help her players improve.
Coach Wolff has taught physical education in the Wauconda School District for 22 years. As a former high school and collegiate athlete though, she has developed arthritis in many of her joints. After enduring nine surgeries she has resigned from teaching and now consults on personal safety and fitness.
While she claims not to be an expert in anything, she does admit to being a self-described "Jackie of all trades, master of none." She is able to provide guidance and suggestions and enjoys using her sense of humor to convey important messages. When not coaching, Coach Wolff works part-time as a softball instructor at Professional Baseball Instruction of Illinois and broadcasts/photographs school events through their web-based news site Waucondanews.com.
Coach Wolff wrote that she was "deeply honored and humbled" to be a Weplay Coach of the Week.

Thanks for your dedication to youth softball coach!
