Believe it or not, tomorrow is my birthday. Yup, that's right. Another year in the books, and what a great year it has been with the birth of our son and watching my two beautiful children grow and play.So I LOVE my birthday. From the time I was little even up through today, it's just a fun, great day that I love celebrating. I always had great parties with my friends and family and have a real sweet tooth, so naturally I loved the cake (ice cream is my favorite!!!) It's hard to believe sometimes that I'm not actually a kid anymore. It seriously feels like yesterday that I was running around and playing and going to school. And I also loved my birthday because it meant my parents, who were divorced, would always come together along with the rest of my family. I put up some pictures here of a few parties when I was younger. One was at my dad's house, with my brother there with the cake on his long kitchen table. Another was at a local restaurant, McGee's, which we went to all the time.
This year, with my husband away, I'm not planning on any big parties. I'll see some of my family, but I'm ok with toning this one down. As long as I get to have a party next year. A few years ago, I threw myself a karaoke party which was so much fun and everyone had a blast. I love karaoke, have I ever mentioned that? I don't care how bad a voice you have, karaoke is all about participating and the fun of getting up there and doing it. Anyhow, just had a few free minutes here with the kids off doing other things and figured I'd share some of my birthday memories and stories with you all. No matter how young or old you are, enjoy your birthdays, appreciate your friends and family and always have fun!
