The pictures and videos are up now, so it's gotta be time to Blog. Hello everyone, this is running back Shaun Alexander. I've spent the last eight seasons in the beautiful city of Seattle since being drafted by the Seahawks in 2000. But while I'm a cagy, experienced veteran running back on the field, this is my very first Blog entry.

One of the reasons I teamed up with weplay is because I love the idea that I can share my photos and videos with so many new people. I'm a social guy and love making friends everywhere I go. Well this is the ultimate place to connect with new people who share my love of sports. You may think I'm just a football guy, but I really do love watching and playing everything, and that started at a young age and has stuck with me through all these years.

You know, among the great lessons I learned in my time in the NFL, the ones that stand out are to keep working hard, make the most of your opportunities and never stop believing that life has something good in store for you. I didn't see much playing time as a rookie, but just one year later I led the NFL in touchdowns. By 2005, I was the Most Valuable Player in the league. Pretty crazy, right? But it all starts with my love of playing and helping my team win. That's what weplay.com is about
