How do you deal with a coach that will play his own daughter in a position over a girl that has more talent at the same position?

    Brian’s answer:

It just goes to show that not all coaches are coaching to teach all the kids. That is very sad. I have coached both of my daughters for 9 years. I tell people that I am not coaching for my daughters, but my daughters give me the opportunity to coach!... Continue reading »

    Stahl Ii asked:

My daughter is 12 yrs. old and when she bats (right handed) she keeps stepping in the bucket with her right foot .Any advice?

    Brian’s answer:

These are all great ideas! I have went as far as to lay on my stomach and grab her ankles while she is hitting, to break this habit. We would start slow, of course upperbody swinging and when we would go full speed she would use her hips and that would... Continue reading »

    Adam & Tina Boeckman asked:

What is the best way to teach a 5 year old to catch the ball without being scared of the ball?

    Brian’s answer:

I also used tennis balls and I would stand them with their back against the wall facing me. Then I would show them the proper way to turn their glove depending on where the ball would be caught. Then I would toss the tennis ball at them making sure th... Continue reading »

Coach U12 and need to get the girls throwing harder, no rainbows. Any suggestions?

    Brian’s answer:
