While this is cute - our players are not allowed gum or seeds on the field of play for two reasons - one, its a choking hazard and two, it is a distraction. We don't allow gum in the dugout beacuse they chew it and spit it out when they go on the field and it inevitibly gets in someone's cleats when someone does not get it in the trash - seeds in the dugout are fine as long as they do not become a distraction causing the team to lose focus on the game - when the players are fighting over who gets seeds and who is not sharing, it is then time to ban all snacks from the dugout, which we have had to do - even at the 12u level where they should know better -
