Without a doubt, the Olympics are one of the greatest sporting events, trulya worldwide spectacle that brings amazing athletes together and energizes entire nations with excitement.
But the fact that my sport, football, continues to go unrecognized by the Olympic committee is just plain wrong.
So while I know it's too late for the 2008 Olympics in China, we need to get the movement going as soon as possible - for either 2010 or 2012. It doesn't matter. I just want a gold medal.

I agree with Gianna, Football would be awesome and more exciting in the Winter Olympics than in the Summer. Otherwise it would feel like pre-season games. And the winter games are usually right after the end of football season. I singed.

much better in the summer olympics!!! China has a powerful summer olympic squad! With a USA Dream Team(tackle football) China will learn to win gold the HARD WAY!!! trying to win the trench fight and the ground game... though they'll settle for silver!!
Also. The US Olympians... can tell their tackle football team to avenge their losses by routing the nation that defeated them in their discipline!
Peyton?... this sport so qualifies as a winter olympic sport!!!... According to the Olympic Charter.. A minimum of 25 nations in 3 continents must practise the sport in order to be in the winter games. Guess what? 52 nations play Gridiron!!!
