My dad tells me that this hospital was very important to Joe D. and that he donated quite a bit of his time and money into it. When Joe D passed away, I lived 2 blocks from the hospital. Now I live on the other side of the county, about 15 miles away.
My mom works at Hollywood Hospital in florida, where they have The Joe Dimaggio Childrens Hospital. The outside of the hospital looks like your walking into a baseball stadium, and there's a statue of Joe D. I'll take pics and post them as soon as I can.
I see you like Simon & Garfunkel, my dad still plays them often. My favorite song of theirs is Mrs. Robinson (Where have you gone Joe Dimaggio..., another great Yankee).
I was thinking, when I attend the game in July, I want to make a weplay sign, so if a foul ball comes my way, maybe they'll put me on T.V. What do you think? Good idea?
Maybe, if I get permission, I can post my friends pics from weplay on my sign.
