Update from the road... Second Inning

Well, I can't believe April is almost over! It's been nearly a month since I last blogged, so I'm back for a second inning. I hope you have been checking out all the cool things to do on weplay. I know I have been enjoying all the comments people are leaving me. Keep them coming. It's nice to know USA Softball has so many committed fans cheering us on.
We just finished a game in Sulphur, Louisianaa town in the southwest part of the state. Unfortunately, Hurricane Rita caused major damage here in 2005, around the same time Katrina hit. My heart goes out to all the wonderful people who have been rebuilding and are keeping the spirit of the town alive.
We took on the University of Louisiana-Lafayette while in Sulphur. It was a good game and we pulled through with a 2-0 win. Every "W" we earn is a blessing and makes our road to Beijing that much more rewarding. Meeting fans, visiting cities across the nation and playing the game that I love, it's all so amazing. I am continually thankful for this opportunity.
Ace is doing wonderfully. His birthday is just days away. I can't believe he's already going to be two! We have a game in Florida the day before his birthday on May 3rd and then again on May 6th in New Mexico. I guess we'll be on the road, but the whole team will be celebrating with us.
On a side note, I attended the finale of the Apprentice earlier this month. What a fun time. I brought Ace along and I think he enjoyed it as much as I did. It was so nice to see everyone again even Mr. Trump. Ace and I also got to spend some time with Casey when we were in New York last, which is always a nice treat for all of us.
As for me, our softball schedule will keep me in California during the last part of May. I am looking forward to spending some time on the West coast with my family. It's hard being away from everyone, so every moment I get to spend with them is precious. Plus, I know all this time on the road will pay off once we land in China and play our hearts out.
Ok, I guess that's it for now. Thanks again for all your support, thoughtful comments and prayers. My weplay "friends list" is growing and I love it. I'll be uploading more photos and videos soon I have found a bunch so as soon as I get to it, you'll get to see them. Until then, keep on playing! And remember, keep dreaming and believing.
