Jay Coombs commented on South Portland Fire South Portland Fire game against the Cumberland Bears:
“Great game today between two very aggressive teams. The score board said we didn't win but my boys know better. Controlled the ball most of the game. The refs said my QB didn't cross the line on the two point conversion but I say he was in (because I am the coach). Either way, my boys walked away with a 6-6 tie against a team that was favored. Super proud of my boys! WE ARE SP!!!!!”2 people like this. -

“Mission accomplished!!! My boys played their butts off. It payed off by getting them their first win. After giving up a quick 48 yard touchdown on the third play of the game my boys settled in, got back to basics and played shut down football. The defense gave up only 25 yards the rest of the game. The offensive line was tremendous and my running backs were off the hook. Both of them cashing in with over 100 yards each and a touchdown. We controlled the ball for 3/4 of the game. My boys put together a 58, 62 and 94 yard drive that all resulted in a TD. I am as proud as a coach can possibly be. My boys faced the task, took it head on and got themselves a well deserved 18-6 win! WE ARE SP!!!!!”Elaine Falconer likes this. -
