who's the best athlete ever to play any of the four major sports?

    Hockey’s answer:

I think it would have to be Deon Sanders, he succesfully played pro football and pro baseball at the same time. That's impressive

    1. Dats true, but what about Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker(Football/Bobsledding)

    2. I said Deon because I think he was the most successful two sport athlete, and the question is who was the best athlete to play any of the four sports, not each ;)

For hockey I think Mario Lemieux was better than Gretzky. If you compare Gretzky and Lemieux during their peaks, their numbers are very comparable. The only difference is Gretzky scored a lot of his points when goalies were not as great, and defence was not as developed.

    Hockey’s answer:

Although the stats say Wayne Gretzky I think Mario Lemieux was the most skilled, and greatest of all time.
