    asked:

what should i do if i really like baseball and i like another sport about the same and they are at the same time in highschool

    Eric’s answer:

    Hey Cody,

If you do not know which one you like better, I suggest thinking about which one will help you in the long term- for example, either for another sport or post-high school goals.

    Tina Maldonado asked:

What is a good age to allow your daughter to pitch?

    Eric’s answer:

    Hi Tina,

I am double answering your question. She is old enough to pitch, as long as she does not get into the habit or pressured into overusing her pitching arm by throwing too many pitches. Most injuries do occur from overuse, so making sure you li... Continue reading »

    Tina Maldonado asked:

my daughter is 9 years old. Is this too young to pitch?

    Eric’s answer:

Agreed, definitely not too young, however there are a couple precautions to keep in mind. Most injuries do occur from overuse, so making sure you limit her throwing at a young age to prevent injuries that could occur as early as late high school. For a... Continue reading »

    1. Thankyou so much for the information. needed extra thoughts because my other coaching staff says that the girls ageing 9-12 are too young. I played many sports in my life but i wanted to make sure i was not being to hard on the girls.

    Hey Kylie,

I recently anwsered a similiar question and I hope this helps:

Static stretching is mostly a waste of time, the research does not support it in any significant way. Rather dynamic stretching intermixed with other movements gets the bod... Continue reading »

    Nancy Deland asked:

how many pitches should a 9 year old girl pitch a day?

    Eric’s answer:

Three things are important to keep injury free while pitching for both boys and girls:
    1. Pitch Count
    2. Proper Mechanics
    3. Types of Pitches

    1. I suggest keeping a pitch count yourself, but for practice sessions, she should pitch only around 30-40... Continue reading »

    Cody Moore asked:

what exercises should i do before baseball practice and before games

    Eric’s answer:

Static stretching is mostly a waste of time, the research does not support it in any significant way. Rather dynamic stretching intermixed with other movements gets the body fully warm before practice and games. Found a perfect article for this post, i... Continue reading »
