Jaden Turns 3

It's been so great getting back to my team and getting on with what it is I really do, which is playing soccer and winning a championship. I just love taking the field with the Gold Pride. I'm so happy to see so many fans coming out to support our team and the WPS.

Today is actually a very special day for my family. My son, Jaden, is turning 3! Wow time flies! We'll definitely be doing something fun to celebrate and have cake, because he LOVES cake. At the end of the day, he just wants cake. If there's cake and water - somehow cake and water will make everything perfect for him.

I love that Jaden's old enough to come out and watch me play a little bit. He came to our first game. Unfortunately his nap time is right at our game time so, he was not very happy. He was a little bit out of sorts during the first half. Jerry said he then fell asleep in his arms during the second half while I was in the game. So he hasn't really seen me play yet.

Now that we are done shooting Superstars I've been working a lot on raising the awareness of Brandi's World. We really want to get young girls to feel better about themselves, find ways to connect with one another, make positive decisions in their life, and impact their communities. I'm always busy, but it seems like there's always more to do. I'd be very happy to start a non-profit like BAFI one day.

All this online stuff is a whole new world to me. You know, maybe I'll write a book about starting your life at 40. Because with the technology and the new league, it's like anything is possible. I'm even twittering now!

On to the birthday festivities.

MM! Cake and Water, a perfect combination! I love that you are involved with community relations! We just opened up an indoor soccer facility in Caldwell ID, called Goalz. It is a Non-Profit Facility built primarily for the community's use, free of cost
