Being the New Guy

For my first time writing here on Weplay, I should start out by saying how much I am looking forward answering all the questions that young players have in mind. I am sure that I will get lots of new questions I have not been answering so far. I have a lot of videos that I can post that will be the hot-stuff, some are quite funny.
When I was a kid growing up, I was always seeking information about my idols. At the time I was a lot of your ages, there was no internet, everything was much harder to get. A site as WePlay.com would definitely be something I would be browsing all the time. To be honest, I still check profiles of other athletes I respect and like as well. For me it is fun to see how LeBron James, Tony Parker and Peyton Manning were when they were growing up.
To make it to the NHL and play with the best players in the world is a dream come true. I never stopped working or believing it was possible, and neither should you. Some advice I live by is never give up your dreams and do everything in your power to achieve them. Work hard to achieve your goals, work hard every day, when things get tuff, work harder. It will not always go the way you planned it, but if you are true to yourself and keep on working hard, good things will happen.
I heard it as a young boy and I still think about it every time things don't go the way I would like to. It is true!
I see that you can now watch and look at drills on Weplay. I know not yet for hockey, but they say it's coming. I know that even though ice-hockey is a team game, I loved 1-1 drills. I enjoy doing all of them and I think that these drills have improved my game a lot. One of the drills I like the most is puck-protection in corners, it is very hard and very tiring, not many players like it, but it is a drill that makes a difference in your game. Maybe I'll write it up and post it to Weplay when I can.
Until the next time, skate and live with your head up.
