In 2009, Victoria Stromberg was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The last few years have been an uphill battle between the treatments and multiple surgeries. But thanks to the support of her youth sports league, this team mom and former coach made it through.
The parents, coaches, and players of the Zephyrhills Police Athletic League became like a second family to Stromberg, helping her rise above the challenge at hand. And now, she’s stronger than ever thanks to her “field family” as she calls them.
Stromberg's tenacity and positive attitude makes her our Weplay Team Mom of the Week.
She remains a member of the ZPPAL organization but has taken on the job of team mom for the Bulldogs Midgets football team this season. She loves her new role because it allows her to give back to the community that has given her so much. Her husband and Bulldogs head coach, Aaron, has also been a huge help during her treatment.
After taking on the team mom reins, Stromberg found her way to Weplay. The community and tools have been a great way for the whole organization to stay connected off the field. Our Team Parent of the Week has already received a few Team Mom props, and with her positive attitude it looks like she will have many more coming her way too.
Victoria Stromberg’s Recommendations for fellow Team Moms:
