Handling three kids, a full time job, and volunteering as a team mom may seem like an impossible job but it’s part of a normal days work for our Team Parent of the Week, Denise Willis, from Troy, Illinois. She understands that the key to making it through each day is communication. “You can never have too much!” wrote Willis who works together with her husband Brian of 13 years to make sure that their three boys are happy and doing what they love.
All three boys love to plays sports, which is why for Willis and her husband sports rule their life's! Willis's oldest is her step-son Logan, 17, who plays tackle for his football team, but is recovering from a knee injury. Next up is Jarod, 9, who plays football, basketball, and baseball. Last but not least we have the youngest, Damon, 5, who is already jumping into sports like football, baseball, and basketball next month. The Willis's are a true sports family that is always running on a busy schedule!
Willis and her husband work as a tag team to make sure that the boys make it to every practice and game on time. Both have helped out with numerous teams over the years, which makes it even more enjoyable. Willis is the Team Mom for Damon’s football team the Troy Titans - Tykes team, while Brian helps out as an assistant coach for Jarod’s 9 year old Pee Wee team.
Our Team Parent of the Week loves her Titans, and went on to say " I could talk about my team forever". The Titans have had a rough season even though they don’t keep score. Even so, Willis has been so impressed that all the boys give 110% no matter what! Most of the Titans are first year players, which makes communicating and listening key fundamentals for this team.
She uses Weplay has a communication tool for the Titans, and has found that it is a great central location for everyone involved with the team. It helps them stay up to date on important information, while viewing all the team media.
Willis and her husband are excited to get their sons baseball team on Weplay next season as well. It looks like we will be seeing a lot of the Willis’s on Weplay!
Denise Willis's Recommendations for Fellow Team Moms:

In this episode of Become we meet Paula. A single mom with 4 kids, Paula manages to hold down multiple jobs and be there for her kids every step of the way. Whether it's her support in sports or in schoolwork, she knows putting in time with her kids is her number one priority and she wouldn't have it any other way.
As long as he does something that’s from the heart that will make him happy, I’ll be good.
