by Dr. Patrick Cohn & Lisa Cohn, posted January 16 2012

Nancy Peter is the director of Out of School Time Resource Center at the University of Pennsylvania. In this week's edition of Weplay Podcasts, she sits down with Lisa Cohn and gives us some insight as to what motivates and drives certain parents to be very intense, and others to be more mellow. Interesting stuff!

Lisa Cohn is co-founder of. The Ultimate Sports Parent and Kids’ Sports Psychology. Pick up a free e-book, “Ten Tips to Improve Confidence and Success in Young Athletes,” by visiting www.youthsportspsychology.com.

Agree with you Nancy; especially, the area of experience. I have found the more experience the parent/coach/spectator has, the less expectation/intensity/insanity they might exhibit. And, of course, this can be a case by case scenario.

As long as he does something that’s from the heart that will make him happy, I’ll be good.
