Follow your heart. Just be careful, though. Depending on your position, the older you get, the more danger of injury you face simply because of the physical strength and training boys commit to in order to be competitve. Stick with positions that limit you getting hit such as punter or field goal kicker. Some of the best kickers I've seen are our cheerleaders and soccer players because of their flexibility and leg strength.

I apologize to Rachael Hawkins for the awesome comment on Sue Skurka's answer. I believe that with hard work and dedication you can be just as successful as any male. Stick with a position that you love. Injuries are a part of the game and as long as you work hard a prepare the right way you will be just fine.

i love to play football also. if you truly love it and it makes you happy then stick with it. forget those guys.

my daughter plays tackle football and loves the respect her teamates give her. Its not Guy frienship its team cohesiveness. And hey i've heard frienships are foundations to all relationships. i met my wife in the marines and she was one of the guys to me at first.

i play too its real fun i think as long as you remind the guys that you are a girl by being a cheer leader too you should be good ps my school let me play football and cheer for basketball

i play football on a all guys team and am the only girl in the league who played. i never once faced a girl. At first the guys on my team made fun of me and treated me badely because they believed that girls "cant play football" bu i stuck with them and once they realized how good i was then i became friends with them. We ended up working together as a team. Although i still got comments here and there they still respected me and we all had fun together. So play footballif you like it and dont let the guys get you down. They will realize soon that they arent the only ones that can play, and trust me....they dont forget that you are stilll a girl...they still look at you as a girl so dont worry about that.

Well u should play if u feel that its the right decision.....my friend and I went to our schools football meeting and no matter what the guys thought of my friend and me we are still going out to show that girls are just as good as the guys can be........just go out and don't worry bout what the guys think...trust me it helps when u don't worry with what they say about u playing
