Sawyer: You must be averaging at least 175 for 21 consecutive games from a USBC certified league to be eligible for Junior Gold. Visit USBC's site for more information about the Junior Gold Program. http://www.bowl.com/tournaments/youth/jrgold/main.aspx
I run Junior Gold events (leagues and tournaments) and can tell toy first hand it's an awesome opportunity for any youth bowler to compete in Junior Gold events.
I also highly recommend that you seek out leagues and tournaments that compete on Sport Bowling conditions. This will also help to improve your game.
Good Luck!

I agree with Jeff and Jeff (tee hee) but remember, if you're not serious about the amount of discipline that is necessary to compete at that level, don't commit. You must be commited to practice and tournament play to compete at Junior Gold; otherwise your best bet is the JBT tournaments in your areas that give you good scholarship opportunities at a different pace.

you can be in state/city tournaments if you join a league.
