The Y is currently looking to fill the following part-time Y Afterschool positions, which work with elementary school children (K-5th Grade) during the school year on weekdays from school dismissal until 6:30 p.m. at local Williamson County ISD locations:
Y AFTERSCHOOL COUNSELORS Y Afterschool Counselors lead and work with a group of 15-25 elementary school aged children. Counselors ensure the safety of the children as they take them through a schedule of activities that includes: homework, arts & crafts, outdoor sports, reading, board games and much more.
Y AFTERSCHOOL ASSISTANT COORDINATORS - Y Afterschool Assistant Coordinators, under the supervision and guidance of a Y Afterschool Coordinator, assist in development, leadership and coordination of the Y Afterschool Program. Assistant Coordinators also directly guide Y Afterschool Counselors, monitor the implementation of the Y Afterschool curriculum and build family as well as staff partnerships at their assigned school sites.
Y AFTERSCHOOL SITE COORDINATORS Y Afterschool Site Coordinators provide leadership and build a team to support the Y Afterschool program; develop and implement enrichment activities for children participating in the program; support and evaluate staff; monitor and review staff time sheets; establish cooperative and effective relationships with children, parents and staff; create a safe after school environment; attend program meetings; maintain necessary records and files relating to the program; and utilize appropriate supplies, materials and equipment for the program.
