The GK (for the most part) is subject to the same rules as a field player, however, a GK, unless intent is show to hurt, will get some slack if going for a 50/50 ball. If a GK interferes with an attacker, disrupts an attempt to score with player contact and no ball, they will likely get a card.

I have only seen a GK get a yellow card in my children's time on soccer teams (10 years) and he should have gotten a Red as he went after an attacker and intentionally took him out without the ball being around him, had already been kicked to the goal.

If it is in the PK area, absolutlely not. That is the keepers area and they have the right to go after the ball just as much as a striker does. In MLS you see keepers going after the ball (while in their own box) and some people getting ran into or knocked over as a result and you rarely see a keeper get a yellow or red card.

you know I myself play in goal and I'm pretty agressive with attackers but i've never been penalized for that yet.One ref told me "the goalie is my best friend when the whistle blows".of coarse there are exceptions but if the ref has to its normally yellow.
