Question
Who covers what base in a bunt situation.
If there are runners on 1rst & 2nd. If batter bunts who covers what base. I know 1rst baseman runs up and 2nd baseman covers 1rst. But my question is more about the shortstop I assumed he will cover 3rd b/c 3rd baseman is running up to get the ball. Does 2nd base go uncovered?

3rd- runs up for bunt
pitcher- runs up for bunt
Shortstop- 3rd base

Thank you - that's what I thought. Every player moves on every ball hit. Including right and left field backing up 1rst and 3rd.

2 runs to cover 1st and short stop covers 3rd base
pitcher also runs for the bunt -
usually, 2nd covers 1st and shortstop covers 3rd base...
