Fly ball foul over first base past the bag player is in fair muffs the catch and the ball falls fair, what is the call foul ball or fair ball

if the player muffs it and is in foul territory it's a foul ball, if the players touches the ball in fair territory and then it bounces off him into foul territory it a fair ball

if the ball is foul in the air and a player touches it (no matter if that player is in fair or foul territory), then it is a foul ball no matter what....if the ball is in the air and a player touches it (no matter if that player is in fair or foul territory), then it is a fair ball no matter what.....it is all about where the ball is when it is touched
