Which side do you fall to? Are you right handed? If you are right handed and fall the right after release, you may not be crossing over far enough on your last step with your left foot. The last step should be just a smidge to the right of an imaginary line drawn from the point of the right foot to your mark. It is a cross over step and you find the sweet spot by adjusting it until you can stand balanced on the left foot after release. The best way to improve is to work with a local pro/instructor as often as you can afford, then throw many, many reps to build your form and develop consistency.

There are easy answers without seeing you bowl. It could be as simple as your feet are too fast so you're to the foul line and your arm swing is not 'in time'.

The most common reason for steping out of your shot or falling to the side is as coach Jeff said, your feet are too fast or you are muscling your swing out of time with your feet. try starting with the ball lower and let the weight of the ball dictate the height of the swing. a small first step will help as well. post up at the foul line by holding your balance and let your arm fall back and forth. if you cannot do this you are rushing the foul line.

your foot is just the basic part. It really helps to be balanced when you slide to the foul line. If you rush and let your feet get ahead of you, everything goes wrong with your shot. Its all about timing

watch your feet before you start motion,by the dots, and after the ball is the thrown, end of the approach.are your in feet the same position?if they are you are throwing to late.if they are not you are not walking down the approach correctly.work on throwing with a tennis ball in your house against the wall.
