What concussion test does your school or sports team use?

I read about the ImPACT concussion test this weekend. Players can take the ImPACT test before they have a concussion. ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) http://www.impacttest.com/ Does your team or school use this test? Another test? Which test do you think is best and why?

Our coaches use the CDC Youth Sports Concussion program. Coaches take the fifteen minute tutorial and then take the test prior to season starting.

My daughter suffered two concussions in one day in her sport. Her Dr. and her coach recommend the ImPACT test and it's been a wonderful tool.

I have found a great concussion tool for my phone.
Cost $4 and it's worth it. It allows me to record and track players on my phone on the field during the game.

I am CDC Concussion Certified, and personally feel a "tool" isn't necessary if you ere on the side of caution. If you are questioning if a concussion was had, a mild one most likely was. Remember a mild concussion will show NO OUTWARD SIGNS AT ALL. All the testing in the world ON TE FIELD will not show a mild concussion, only a neurologist and a catscan will. I will however check for apps on my iphone, its a great idea! There may be a tracking tool that I can use to protect me as a coach if needed. Thanks!

    1. I agree--I would first call the wife and next get in the car for docs office if I even see a blow to the head.

For years our league has handed out info from MomsTeam.com on concussion. No one else can touch these guys for youth sports concussion information. Found two things you guys may want to check out: http://www.momsteam.com/health-safety/concussion-safety and this new blog i read on twitter: Baseline #Concussion Testing Products: Caution Urged In Purchase Decision.
