it depends how many outs there are. listen to your coach and ask him what you should do. if there are 2 outs, and you have a pretty good lead, i think you should try it. my old coach always said if there were 2 outs with runners on 1 and 3, try it, it won't matter that much

I think the question is from the catcher's point of view.
If it's a close game, your first priority should be to stop the runner at third from scoring. If the runner at first attempts to steal second, you first look the runner on third back to the base, then fire to second if you have a play at the runner.
Something else to consider is that the runner at third will probably be thinking about trying for home if you throw down to second base. So you if you give a good fake throw to second, you might be able to catch the runner at third in a run-down.

When the runner goes to second have your shortstop play up. Throw the ball to the shortstop. The runner on third will think your throwing it to second. When the runner on third goes home have the shortstop fire it down to home plate. Therefor the runner will be tricked and you can get a very easy out.

It depends how strong your arm is and how coordinated your team is. It also depends on how many outs you have, how fast the runners are, who the next batter is..There are two simple plays one is throwing the ball to second and either short stop or second baseman cuts and throws back to catcher for incoming runner from 3rd or just get runner on 2nd for the out

if the runner on 1st is stealing you can do a play where you throw it to short or second (but they are NOT on 2nd base, they are in there regular positions) and they throw it to home to get the runner out at 3rd
