Question
im in the eight grade and i am captain of my cheer squad.. i am really excited for high school because of cheer. i love cheer and i really want to be on varsity, but everyone tells me tumbling is really important. i can do some tumbling, but its really simple. heres what i can do
i can: splits ( all 3 ways perfect)
heel stretches ( on both legs perfect)
bow n arrow ( right leg) working on left bow and arrow
working on my scorpion
i can fly and back spot
cart wheel ( 1 handed as well) and i can land in splits
round off ( 1 handed with rebound too)and i can land in splits
herkie ( really good on both legs)
hurdler ( really good)
toe touch ( perfect)
i can do liberties
go up to extensions
cradle as well
i can remember cheers, and choreography really well ( im a dancer, ive been doing it all my life) i have a loud voice, and i can embarrass myself with school spirit.
okay so i would like to know
1. what things do you need to know to make varsity AND JV
2. is tumbling absolutely required
3. do you think i will be okay with what i have now
please give me some information, and dont tell me that it varies, and to talk to someone on a cheer squad, because ive heard that. i would appreciate it if you would give me your opinion and also any other tryout tips you have would be awesome
thanks:)

you have it down, it especially depends on what the coaches are looking for , ask the coaches for a print out on what they want (that's what my coaches did) and you pretty much can do it all so dont worry about it ! (:
