This is a Hot Potato Ariana that no one likes to talk about because it can cause more problems if you don't handle it right. The best thing I can tell you is ask the coach if you can talk after practice. Be nice and polite and ask him what you can do that will make yourself a better player so you can get more playing time. Thank your coach for giving you time to talk ( even if you don't like the answer) and try to work at whatever she tells you. Give it a season and see if it works. You might get a big surprise! If you are on a school team, this is the best you can do. However, if it isn't, if you feel you haven't made progress with your coach, Try a different team next year.

Use it as a challenge to improve yourself as a player and a teammate. You might also ask your coach what he needs from you before he will give you more time. Stay positive and work hard. Build respect from your teammates and your coach. Prove yourself to be a team player, a hard worker and it will eventually pay off in one form or another.

My daughter is only 7 but I want her to be the best she can. Is it too early for extra instruction? What should I expect at this age?
