i play fastpitch softball as well. if i were you i would just strengthen your arm. at home take a pair of socks and throw them at the wall or do other drills to help that. good luck and i hope your elbow gets better. plus make sure you arent alligator arming it or side arming it. just make sure you are throwing correctly so it doesnt put anymore strain on it. (:

Sounds like seeing a Dr. would be a good idea. Once you have a clear diagnosis on the issue, you might call or stop by and chat with a local university sports trainer and ask if they have any info on how they deal with that issue.

Carlee allot of times elbow pains could be from bad mechanics. Have you talked to your coach?

yes on the above suggestions, ice/heat, doctor and training. But if I had to guess, I would guess that when you start your pitching motion, you arm is not straight, I believe that you should start with your arm straight and not bent at the elbow, this will prevent you from throwing your arm straight and thus putting strain on it.

i would put an icy hot on it and elevate it on a pillow and try not to strain your arm too much at practice because if it gets any worse you could probably tear a ligament in your arm..... trust me i know.... you'll probably have to sit out for 3 months if you ear anything so just keep that in mind!!! get well !!
