Usssa and asa both have list of tournaments that will be played in your area. most tournaments are open to the public some do cost to enter alot of the travel teams will be competing in the tournaments talk to the coaches when there inbetween games and ask them if they have openings or when there next try outs will be. you can also contact your local recreation dept. they should have a practice schedule ask them when the travel teams will be using the field to practice and you can talk to the coaches then.also check your local paper and craigslist some coaches will post on there when there having a tryouts for there team. Travel ball is a big expense hotel and travel cost can get pricey be prepared.

Search the web for local tournaments, such as USSSA, ASA, NSA, etc. Find which teams are registered, to a google search to find their home page, and then contact them directly, asking if they still need players. Most teams usually have 1 or 2 opening still by now, and are willing to allow your daughter to practice with the team. Your other choice is to wait until August when all Travel teams have tryouts, check your local paper for info.
