    Don't push to hard! You need to keep a steady pace. Don't start of too fast at the beginning too.

    I would recommend a speed chute. I've gotten my reliable running / speed equipment from http://www.AgilitySpeedTraining.com. The nice thing about that site is that it caters to athletes of all ages (not just adults), including middle school and high schoolers. I think i even read that they test their equipment for safety.

    Don't stop running and conditioning otherwise you'll lose muscle.
