Here are some ideas on the positive aspects and rewards of fast pitch softball. It developes good hand eye coordination through batting and in field play. It also promotes problem solving skills (swing or not to swing, where to throw the ball, when to slide, when to let a run score and get the out. Fast pitch player also need sef-confidence to hit the ball. You can also discuss team work and the success one has by practicing. Good Luck on your essay.

In softball it teaches you to use team work and the importance of it because it takes more than one person to win or lose the game.Softball also has a lot to do with hand eye cordination, because if you have a good eye that helps when your batting and when pitching and catching balls. You also work on aiming because you want to make good throws so you can get runners out on the bases.Thats some information i can get you. I hope that it helps you.

On top of all the mentioned above, here is an excerpt from the sponsorsip letter I wrote for our 2009 season which outlines a few things I think are important in girls athletics especially fastpitch softball:

" I am sure you will agree that keeping kids physically active is now a major goal for our nation. What we do for them now, may save their health in the future plus have a financial impact on the nation. In addition, studies have shown that girls participating in sports are less likely to be involved in drugs or become a teen parent. They are also more likely to graduate high school than those who do not play sports. Being challenged and making achievements through sports can help boost girls' self-esteem and lessen depression. It promotes teamwork and leadership, which helps make them stronger young ladies to face the demands and trials of the world ahead of them. A team sport is an excellent avenue for a girl due to the social aspects. We like to think that fastpitch softball is particularly great! "

    Good luck!

Softball teaches hand eye co-ordination, builds team work, and in the process friendships, teaches kids to get along, The hand eye co ordination is a great one my son is in t-ball and it is greatly improving vision, it hopefully also promotes patience and timeliness.

I wrote an article about benefits of being involved in sports. Of course, all of these things apply to softball as well. You can read the article at http://ezinearticles.com/?7-Good-Reasons-to-Get-Your-Child-Involved-in-Sports&id=70255

Getting children into sports always bring out the best in them. Softball is a sport that teaches the youth so many things from the physical, to the mental, emotional and social aspects in life.

This sports teaches several skills that not most sports teach. You need to be able to hit, catch, throw and run well in this sport. It develops your hand-eye coordination and concentration. This sport teaches you quick thinking and reaction. It teaches you to have a strong sense of character and sometimes leadership skills. It develops your sense of teamwork and dedication. More importantly it builds friendship and a sense of family. That's what softball is and has done for me. What more can we ask for right? :)

    Coaching softball is always rewarding
